The primary role of an Associate Consultant (Experienced hire) is to support the delivery of strategic advice to clients; provide professional advice to the senior management of major international corporations; lead and deliver on the analytic modules assigned which involves various data gathering, analysis and interpretation of the results. Also, after gaining appropriate experience, taking on task management of more junior Associate Consultants.

About The Candidate

We are looking for Associate Consultant level strategists with 1-3 years prior experience. This may either be gained within a leading consultancy/ first class corporate/ banking/M&A environment. The ideal candidate will have a top tier Degree/Masters (minimum 2:1) and exemplary A Level results (or overseas equivalent). A willingness to travel and an international outlook are essential.

They will have experience in data gathering, financial analysis, market and competitor analysis and evaluating acquisitions. As well as excellent analytical skills, they will be able to display the ability to present complex presentations to more senior members of the team with precision and clarity.

Finally, they will through enterprise, academic or other activity have demonstrated a natural entrepreneurial bent, which translates into a 'get it done' attitude.

Skills Required:

We are looking for candidates with the highest level of communication and analytical skills. They will be able to demonstrate excellence in the following areas:

  • Problem solving: End-to-end problem solving including analytical, quantative, intellectual, creative and other challenges, alongside the ability to provide commercial insight.

  • Written and verbal communication: Efficiently create clear and concise written and graphical work for use in team settings; ability to clearly articulate information and answers in team and client meetings.
  • Job management/Teamwork: Collegial and collaborative; carries out fair share of work; consistently adds creative, insightful ideas; meets all deadlines; demonstrates ability to lead and motivate others well.

  • Client relations: Contribution to clients' positive view of OC&C in general and the team in particular.

  • Professional skills: Exemplifies critical characteristics of a professional client services consultant.

  • Firm contribution: Plays an enthusiastic role in developing the Firm's earned reputation for high calibre client work and in establishing the personality of the Firm and the Office.
